Drift Hunters: Earn Points, Buy Cars
The longer the drift, the higher the multiplier. A single 30-second combo is worth far more than three separate 10-second combos. Points convert to cash, which is used to buy upgrades or new cars.
Start with the Toyota AE86. Upgrade the turbo and reduce weight before considering other cars. Adjust camber and brake balance in the Tuning menu to find the right setup. A well-tuned AE86 outperforms many expensive, stock cars.
Key car milestones
- 8,500 points: Start unlocking new cars
- Nissan GT-R: Fastest car in the game
- Porsche 911 GT: Most expensive car (over 134,000 points)

How to Choose the Right Map for Double Points
Not all maps are created equal for drifting. Choosing the wrong location from the start is a common reason for slow point accumulation.
Map Guide
| Map | Best For | Reason |
| Forest | Long-term point accumulation | Longest corners in the game; combos last longer |
| Emashi | Advanced players | Requires precise control |
| City | Quick cash grinding | Wide straights; easy to maintain combos |
| Stadium | Technique practice | Compact layout; clear entry points for corners |
| Touge | True challenge | Sharp hairpins; requires precise handbrake use |
If you're a beginner, start with City or Forest. Don't hit the touge until you've got the hang of the handling.
Visuals: More Than Just Technical Tuning
Beyond mechanical upgrades, Drift Hunters lets you customize body and rim colors and select your preferred rim styles. While these choices don't affect your score, many players invest just as much effort into them as they do into performance tuning. Stylish drifting and a stylish car—the two go hand in hand.
