Car Modification Experience in Merge & Construct
With only three basic materials—wooden barrels, wheels, and propellers—the gameplay revolves around merging parts. You combine two identical items to craft a better one. Wrong design? Your car will be wrecked on the first jump.
Wheel Axle Merging
Two single wheels combined create a double wheel with an axle. This upgrade lowers the car's center of gravity, providing significantly better traction on steep slopes.
Fan Upgrade
Two small wooden fans create a large alloy fan. This is the main source of thrust to help your car accelerate over bumps.
Box Chassis
Combine the box blocks to create stability for the car. The stronger the frame, the more power the car has to smash through bulky obstacles.
Stabbing in the Middle of the Race: Physics Flaws to Avoid
The game's biggest selling point lies in its extreme drag simulation. Randomly pressing and releasing the accelerator (or brake) will lead to direct consequences:
- Stuck on speed bumps: Cars in the game don't coast like in real life. Releasing the W key will cause the car to stop immediately. Releasing the accelerator right at the top of a speed bump? The car loses momentum and stays still.
- Flip-over due to excessive speed: Speeding through cracks can easily cause the front of the car to crash into the ground. Landing at the wrong angle will cause the car frame to break in half.
- Insufficient impact force: The car needs sufficient stability to smash through crates, wooden bridges, fences, or piles of gray rocks. A car that's too light will bounce back.
Gameplay Platform and Controls to Remember
This 3D game from Antar Games (running on Unity 2022) is designed with a minimalist approach for smooth gameplay in our web browsers.
Controls are very simple
- On Desktop: Hold W, the Space key, or the left mouse button to accelerate. Release the brake button.
- On Mobile: Touch and hold the screen to accelerate; release to stop.
Pay attention to the horizontal position bar at the top to gauge your distance to the finish line. Don't forget to collect floating coins or watch ads for multipliers to buy additional parts.
